All records for vaccines provided at The Pediatric Center will be automatically submitted to the CIIS. This information is provided by multiple sources including, The Pediatric Center, area hospitals, the health department and some insurance carriers.
The CIIS will help you in several ways, including:
- By combining vaccination records from multiple offices, the system should help make sure that all vaccines are up to date and extra vaccines are not given unnecessarily.
- There will be always be easy access to vaccine records.
- Eventually, schools and daycare providers will be able to access this information directly, therefore easing the school registration process.
The CIIS is an opt-out program. If you would not like to participate, please contact our office for the necessary forms.
